Welcome to the New Year! I sincerely hope that you and yours had a wonderful holiday season.
If you are an annual member and did not renew by December 31, 2009 .... You are no longer a member. If so, please contact us for your reinstate into our great Veterans Service Organization. We of the Veterans of Foreign Wars need your membership to help us support our active duty, retired and veterans of our Armed Forces. Your membership is critical in our efforts. So please act today!
Please check out the calendar section of this site for upcoming meals and events. There is always something going on so come down and join us.

Dear Sisters,
Wow, a new year already! I hope you and your families had a wonderful holiday season. Thanks to everyone who helped with the meals and entertainment down at the Post during this holiday season. Also a big thank you to Barbara, Bobbi Tina and Kathy for all their hard work in putting together the holiday baskets for our military families.
For January, we have our regular meeting on the second Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. I encourage all of you to attend, for this is where decisions are made for our Auxiliary. If you would like to make suggestions that will help our Auxiliary, this is where to do it because everything has to be voted on our floor by our membership.
On Saturday, January 15th and Sunday, January 16th there will be a District rummage sale held here at SABLE. Donations can be brought down to the Post starting on Monday January 11th.
The Department Council of Administration will be held Friday January 22-23rd in Sacramento. There will also be the Department Voice of Democracy banquet held Friday night the 22nd. If any of you are interested in attending, please contact me and I will make sure you get the information.
The District Auxiliary membership meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 26th at 6:30 p.m. at the Kearny Mesa Post 3788, 7785 Othello Ave., San Diego, CA. 92111.

Well the Post didn't make its membership goal of reaching 100% by December 31st.
As of this writing the Post membership is at 90.06%. We are 53 members short. This means that 53 people that did not pay their dues and are NO LONGER MEMBERS!
It's not too late; please contact us to pay your dues so we can get you reinstated as a member.
The more members our organization has, the stronger we are when it comes to voicing our opinions as Veterans.

Plaque Presentation
VFW Post 2111 Commander Larry Fuller and Sr. Vice Commander Rocky Clark present Commander (Post 2275) Doug Carrington and AMVETS Commander Larry Wyatt with a plaque of the three organizations that represent the Veterans Memorial Association.
Rocky Clark has superb woodworking skills and did an outstanding job making the plaque which has the VFW, Fleet Reserve and AMVETS logo on it.
The plaque is mounted on the new counter top outside the canteen entrance.
Early this year Larry Fuller and Rocky presented the VMA with a plaque which is mounted on the counter by the grill in the patio.
