Comrades,
There have been quite a few activities so far this VFW year. We have also received our new Post Polo style shirts. They are available in a variety of colors and sizes for only $25.00. Get yours TODAY!
First nominations for Post Officers were held during our regularly scheduled March 10th meeting. The positions available are: Commander, Senior Vice Commander, Junior Vice Commander, Quartermaster, Chaplain, Surgeon and Judge Advocate. As per the VFW National By-Laws the actual election of Officers will take place during our April meeting. All newly elected Officers positions will be effective Monday June 21 at approximately 1400. Again, according to our National By-Laws, that is when the New State Commander is installed.
The 53rd Annual Mass Installation this year will be at the Lakeside Post 5867. Luncheon at 11:30am with the installation beginning at 12:30pm. The price of the luncheon is $7.00 and features Salisbury Steak, Mashed Potatoes, Veggie and Salad. Please contact Sheri or myself before April 26 for reservations. RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED.
Make sure that you come down at 5pm on the 21st for Mike & Sylvia's incredible home made Enchilada's. All the profits support the VMA and it is truly a delicious meal.
Also, I would like to thank in advance Harry & Diane and crew for stepping in to give us a night off. They have volunteered to do the Monday night burgers on the 26th. Come down and cheer them on!

Dear Sisters,
Well spring is here in full force with Easter and all the festivities. On Sunday April 4th our Post will be having a fabulous Easter breakfast so plan on coming down and joining us from 9:30-12:00p.m.
Saturday April 3rd at the Don Diego Post 7420 will be the homecoming for our District President, Rosanna Vasquez from 2:00-6:00p.m. It would be great to see a lot of you there to thank her for a job well done this year.
Wednesday April 14th at 6:30 p.m. will be our regular meeting and our elections for the 2010-2011 year. Please plan on being there so we can elect our officers and show them our support. The Mass
Installation for new officers will be held at the Carter-Smith Post 5867 in Lakeside on Saturday, May 8th. All new officers need to attend to be installed and anyone else who would like to attend, are also more than welcome.
The District Membership meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 27th at the Southeast Post 5179 at 6:00p.m. The address is 1116 South 43rd Street, San Diego 92113.
Our new Auxiliary shirts are here! They are available in hunter green, royal blue, burgundy, and red. They are on sale for $23.00. Be sure and get yours before we run out!
Thank you for all you do to support our Post and Auxiliary. Be sure and come down and enjoy the wonderful meals all the organizations put on. We have the best food in the whole District! (and maybe the state………….)

As of this writing the Post membership is at 92.68%. We are 39 members short. This means that 39 people that did not pay their dues and are NO LONGER MEMBERS! We are real close to becoming 100%; with your help we can do it!
Comrade's second nominations and elections for Post Officers will take place during this month's meeting, please plan on attending the meeting.
