Comrades,
Once again I would like to congratulate our new Corps of Officers: Commander Dick Newman; Senior Vice Commander John Sallee; Junior Vice Commander Open; Quartermaster Ed McCoy; Chaplain Jim Walker; Surgeon Rod Richardes and Judge Advocate Doug Carrington. As per the VFW National By-Laws all newly elected Officers positions will be effective Wednesday, June 22 at approximately 1400. Again, according to our National By-Laws, that is when the incoming State Commander is installed.
Final nominations and election for Junior Vice Commander will take place during our June 9 meeting.
It has been an interesting and fun year. As it comes to a close I ask that all of you continue to support your incoming cadre of Officers and Chairmen. Also, please continue to support our kitchen crew for all of the wonder meals they prepare for YOU. That is the primary way we raise money to support our programs.
Our next District meeting will be held at Chula Vista Post 2111 on Sunday, June 6 at 10am. Please join us as this is the Nominations and Elections of our District Officers.
Our Department of California Convention will take place in Sacramento from June 18 thru 22. If you would like additional information, please contact me or any of our Post Officers.
Yours in Comradeship,
Doug Carrington
Dear Sisters,
Wow a whole year gone already! I want to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for all you have done for this Post and Auxiliary. Your active volunteering in the kitchen, support of our meals and programs is overwhelming. A BIG thank you to all of my officers and chairmen!! You all work tirelessly and have supported myself and the Commander so much and we appreciate you.
I would like to thank the Commander and the Comrades for always being there to support the Auxiliary in whatever we needed. You never critcize us, and are always ready to step in and help wherever we need it. Both the Post and Auxiliary are at 100% in membership and in reporting our programs. What a wonderful thing, we should all be very proud of ourselves.
I ask that you continue your support to our new Commander Richard Neumann and his officers and of course our very own President Barbara Cimmarrusti and her line officers and chairmen. I know they will have a fabulous year!
June 6, 2010 will be the Auxiliary District Convention and Memorial Service. It will be held at the Chula Vista Elks starting at 9:00 a.m. Afterwards there will be installation for all newly elected District officers at the Chula Vista Post 2111. We have two of our auxiliary sister running for District offices so as many of you that can attend to support our sisters would be greatly appreciated!
June 17-22, 2010 will be the Department of California Convention in Sacramento. If any of you would like more information, please contact myself or the Commander.
In closing, I wish all of you well and thank you for a wonderful year!
Loyally,
Sheri Carrington
Commander Elect
Greetings to all Comrades and Sisters of our VFW post 2275 and Auxiliary:
As we begin a new year, I look forward to the opportunities we will have for a successful term working together.
I wish to wholeheartedly thank Past Commander Doug Carrington, his team and Past President Sheri Carrington and her team, for their hard work and wonderful accomplishments over this past year.
As a retired marine, I firmly believe that to be successful, we all must work together as a team in order to continue to strive to be the best possible post in the district, state and nation.
I ask that all comrades reach out to our full membership, to not only continue to support our post social functions, but of more importance, to increase attendance at our meetings. The more members who are involved, the better, more successful and easier our tasks will be. It is not only the post administrative staff, but all comrades that enable our post membership to work as a team.
If I had an office at our post, my door would be always open. In lieu of that, feel free to contact me, in person, by phone or by email at any time (within reason) to discuss our post.
Yours in comradeship,
Richard (Dick) (Rich) Neumann
